Know your client's site is down before they do.

Devloment is the CRM built for freelance web developers — it manages your clients, and the websites those clients own.

Your CRM has never met a website

Contacts, deals, notes — but the moment a client's site goes down, none of that helps you.

Alerts with no follow-through

Uptime pings and SSL warnings pile up in yet another dashboard, disconnected from the work you actually need to do.

Requests lost in email

“Can you fix the contact form?” gets buried in your inbox between three other client threads.

The stack you're replacing

A 3-person studio, 25 client sites — 6 logins vs. one.

  • WordPress maintenance, security & backups $175
  • Uptime & SSL monitoring $34
  • SEO audits + white-label reports $500
  • Client CRM & invoicing $49
  • Project & task management $21
  • White-label client portal $19
Their total — 6 tools, 6 logins $798/mo
Devloment Studio — 1 tool, up to 40 sites $99/mo

Save $699/month — about $8,388 a year

From “it's down” to “it's assigned” in one step

Devloment watches uptime, SSL, domain expiry, performance, and homepage content changes. When something breaks, an incident opens automatically, notifies you, and — if it stays open too long — creates a task so it never just sits in a dashboard.

  • Uptime, SSL, and domain-expiry checks on your own schedule
  • Incidents auto-open on failure and auto-resolve on recovery
  • Still-open incidents can auto-create a task past a threshold you set

Make your retainer visible

Every workspace gets a branded portal — your logo, your colors, your domain — where clients see their site's uptime, the updates you've performed, SEO trend, and invoices. It's the answer to “what am I paying you for?” before they even ask.

  • Logo, colors, and welcome message — fully white-labeled
  • Clients submit requests that land straight on your project board
  • Every section is toggleable per workspace

SEO health, scored and tracked

A polite, robots.txt-respecting crawler runs 40+ technical, content, and on-page checks and turns them into a 0–100 score with a category breakdown. Score drops over time, issues become tasks with two-way linking, and audits run on a schedule.

  • Technical, content, performance, and mobile/metadata scoring
  • Score trend over time, per site and workspace-wide
  • Turn any issue into a task in one click

Kanban for the work, not just the pipeline

Projects hold sections, subtasks, checklists, and comments — with a kanban or list view for however you think. Recurring task rules materialize your monthly maintenance automatically, and client requests route straight into the right project.

  • Project templates: win a deal, spin up a website-build project
  • Recurring rules for monthly/quarterly maintenance work
  • Global quick-add — press q from anywhere in the app

Bill it without leaving the CRM

Line items, tax, auto-numbering, and a status flow from draft to sent to paid — with overdue computed automatically from the due date, not a status you forget to update. Generate a PDF and see revenue on your dashboard the moment it's paid.

  • DRAFT → SENT → PAID, with OVERDUE computed from the due date
  • PDF generation for every invoice
  • “Revenue this month” on the dashboard, updated live

Before you ask

I only have 8 clients — is this overkill?

That's exactly who Devloment is for. Generic CRMs are built for sales teams managing hundreds of leads; Devloment is built for the handful of client sites you personally keep alive. Less setup, more relevant to what you actually do all day.

Will my clients actually log into a portal?

They don't have to — incidents and updates can reach them by email either way. The portal exists for the moment a client asks "what am I paying you for?" and you can point them at uptime, updates performed, and SEO trend instead of explaining it from memory.

I'm not on WordPress — does this still work?

Yes. Monitoring, SEO audits, the client portal, invoicing, and deploy hooks are all stack-agnostic. The WordPress panel (version management, one-click updates) only appears on sites you mark as WordPress — everything else works the same regardless of stack.

Is my client data — and my SSH keys — safe?

Devloment is self-hosted on your own server and database. SSH credentials and WordPress application passwords are AES-256 encrypted at rest and never exposed to the client portal. You control the infrastructure, not us.

How is this different from ManageWP or a generic CRM?

WordPress care-plan tools manage sites but have no CRM, deals, invoicing, or real client-facing portal. Generic CRMs know your contacts but have never heard of an SSL certificate. Devloment is the one place where a client, their website, and the work you do for it are the same record.
